Welcome to Mr. Lance Pitts' Classroom 103-A

Mr. Lance Pitts is a 2012 graduate of formally known Augusta State University; which is currently named Augusta University; where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, with a Minor in Social Work.
 
In July of 2015, he graduated from Northcentral University of Phoenix, Arizona, where he obtained his Master’s of Education Degree, with a specialization in Special Education.
 
In July of 2016, Mr. Pitts joined the McDuffie County High Teaching Staff as a Special Education teacher at McDuffie Achievement Center.
 
In addition, Mr. Pitts is a mentor for Georgia Youth Challenge. As a mentor, he encourages his mentees not to give up on their abilities to achieve; but rather, to set productive goals for themselves, and commit to working relentlessly towards achieving those goals, as he continuously monitors their progress. 
 
As an advocate for education, Lance Pitts has a genuine passion for teaching, inspiring, and encouraging students to recognize their abilities to achieve, as he emphasize continually that individuals should never place labels of limitation on themselves in relation to striving for academic success.
 
Having the understanding that life, (even at its best), is sometimes difficult, Mr. Pitts adopted for his personal motto, “When Life Gives You Lemons; Make Lemonade.” His motto is intended to encourage and inspire others to succeed, regardless of their struggles.
