Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate; college or business school preferred. Five years of experience working extensively with personal computers and closely related software packages used in the system. Specific training of the Student Information System in use. This currently is the PowerSchool software product.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Possess strong communication skills for interaction with professional, technical, and support personnel including support for hardware and software problems and questions.
2. Possess a basic knowledge of popular software packages like Microsoft Office Suite and have a strong desire to learn.
3. Thoroughly understand the student information software program currently in use, PowerSchool, and understand related software.
4. Understand the data requirements needed for data collection on the local, state, and national level.
5. Team attitude with the desire to provide excellent customer service.
6. Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
7. Possess a basic understanding of networking including LAN, WAN, and the hardware components that exist in both.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate directly with the School SIS clerk(s) to collect and enter accurate student data.
2. Provides a “help desk” resource for all school personnel with technology problems or questions relating to student information (demographics, scheduling, attendance, discipline, grading, etc.)
3. Serve as primary contact with the PowerSchool help desk and state DOE help desk regarding student information.
4. Provides maintenance and repairs for student information software and provide direction on using other related software, such as PowerTeacher Pro (grading) Microsoft Excel and Word.
5. Update data elements needed for changes each year in data collection.
6. Add and update student records with school pictures each year.
7. Coordinate FTE 1, FTE3 data element collections.
8. Responsible for and coordinate Student Report data collections including student class and student record.
9. Responsible for and generate data files DRC.
10. Collect and report class size to the State DOE.
11. Maintain the GTID uploads and downloads from GADOE.
12. Assist other departments, curriculum, food service, personnel in collection of data to data files needed for various reports, labels, etc.
13. Provide monthly reports to the Superintendent and local BOE regarding student enrollment and attendance.
14. Generate other data reports as needed by schools or system directors.
15. Create rollover of data from one year to the next in each school and add, activate or inactivate users to the PowerSchool system.
16. Provide any requested on-the-job training of all school employees who use PowerSchool to ensure that they have the knowledge to perform their responsibilities regarding this software.
17. Serves as an active support member on the school technology or technology/media committee as requested by each local school.
18. Assists the school administrator in determining school staff development needs related to student information software.
19. Other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Generally, the job requires 90% sitting and 10%walking May have to lift about 35 pounds.
