As part of Child Find Efforts, the McDuffie County School System seeks to identify, locate and evaluate children and youth, birth to age 21, who are suspected of, or have a disability or developmental delay. Children birth to age 3 will be referred to Babies Can't Wait. Children ages 3-21 will be assessed by the McDuffie County School System. If you know of children and youth who are suspected of, or have a disability or developmental delay and are not receiving services, you may contact the Department of Student Services at 706-986-4100.
In conjunction with Child Find Efforts, there will be a meeting held on May 29, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the Student Services Office. The purpose of this meeting is to determine how McDuffie County proportionate share funds will be appropriated for parentally placed home school children with disabilities. Children must be residents within McDuffie County.
