Under guidelines of 1974 Order Ridley and United States v. Georgia, the McDuffie County School System must inform all parents of children living in McDuffie County of the opportunity for a Majority-to-Minority transfer to eligible schools. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) have the option of requesting a transfer for their child in which his or her child is the majority to a school in which his or her child is the minority.

Stakeholders are invited to review and provide feedback on these proposed learning resources / textbook adoptions.

Thomson High School's Dottie Thomas will represent McDuffie County in the 2025 Georgia Teacher of the Year program.

The class of 2023 achieved the highest graduation rate in the county since 2012 and outpaced the growth of the state rate by a factor of six.

Maxwell Elementary and Thomson Elementary were two of only six schools in the CSRA to make the list.
