McDuffie Place

McDuffie Place is located off Lincolnton Highway on the Georgia side of Thurmond Lake. This property is issued to the McDuffie County Board of Education to provide for staff development activities, student learning experiences, school board functions, faculty use, staff retreats, and made available for community use. McDuffie Place has a lake with sand, a huge play area, pit, dock, boat ramp, free-standing grill, 6 bunk beds, a full kitchen, male and female restrooms with showers, central heat and air, sofa, tables and chairs, a screened-in porch with four rocking chairs, and a spacious parking area.

Fees are as follows:
Classes of McDuffie County Schools Supervised Students = No fee
Other school system groups = No fee

       Per Week              $600.00         $1,200.00

A choice of:  $125.00 Custodial Fee or clean the building and remove trash prior to departure
