Counselors

Guidance counselors are available in all schools to support and extend classroom programs. Guidance services facilitate the growth and development of students as they progress from kindergarten through high school. Both prevention and intervention services are designed to help students in their physical, educational, vocational, and social/personal development. Counselors work with parents, school personnel, and outside agencies to support students.

Guidance counselors provide classroom guidance, small group counseling, individual counseling, and parent/community counseling. As an adjunct to the guidance department at the high school, a career guidance center is available to students and parents to assist with postsecondary options beginning in the 9th grade.
